The following contest is a six-man battle royal, and it is for the EHDW Light Heavyweight Championship! Making his way to the ring... from Cameron, North Carolina, weighing in at two hundred and twenty-five pounds... Jeff... Hardy!

The crowd booed as Jeff Hardy emerged from a glowing stage, wildly dancing. He ran down the ramp then slid into the ring. He climbed the turnbuckle and outstretched his arms, then jumped off and wait for his opponent, Trent Barreta, to make his entrance.

And his opponent... from Mount Sinai, New York, weighing in at two hundred and three pounds... Trent... Barreta!

The crowd's boos quickly transitioned into cheers after Trent Barreta's music hit the speakers. Trent walked out from backstage, then kneeled down in front of the ramp. He stood back up, then walked down the ramp, smiling and chewing gum, as usual, as he high-fived the crowd. He ran into the ring, then climbed up to the top rope and performed his usual taunt. He stared at the crowd for a moment, grinning, before he jumped off then leaned in the corner, staring down Jeff Hardy as Michael Cole began to enter.

And their opponent... from Syracuse, New York, weighing in at two hundred and sixteen pounds... Michael... Cole!

Michael Cole walked out to a booing crowd, filling in for his lack of entrance music. He only smirked at their negative reaction as he walked down the ramp. As he walked up the steel steps, he occasionally glanced at the crowd, then entered the ring.

And their opponent... from Gainesville, Georgia, weighing in at two hundred and fifteen pounds... A... J... Styles!

The crowd had a mixed reaction as AJ Styles emerged from backstage, hood pulled over his eyes. He walked down the ramp, occasionally slapping the outstretched hands of the crowd, then climbed up the steel steps into the ring. He pulled off his hood, then outstretched his arms before beating his chest in the middle of the ring. He then turned around and outstretched his arms again, repeating this in all four corners of the ring. He took off his hood and tossed it into the crowd as one of his five opponents began to enter.

And their opponent... from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at one hundred and sixty pounds... Austin... Cross!

The crowd cheered more than they had the whole night upon Austin Cross' entrance. He walked down the ramp, high fiving the outstretched hands of the audience. Once he passed the ramp, he slid into the ring. He climbed up the turnbuckle and raised both his arms, then backflipped off as the final competitor made his entrance.

And their opponent... from Richmond, California, weighing in at one hundred and thirty-four pounds... Alfred... Perez!

Alfred ran down the ramp and up the steel steps. He entered the ring, and climbed the turnbuckle, observing the mildly cheering crowd. He leaned in his corner and stared down his opponents as the referee called for the bell.

Ding ding ding!

As soon as the shrill of the bell sounded throughout the arena, each man clustered up in the middle of the ring and began raining down punches on eachother, not even aware of who they were hitting. After a while, a few men paired up to focus on eachother. Trent Barreta took down Jeff Hardy with a lightning-fast snap suplex, while Austin managed to knock down both AJ Styles and Michael Cole with a pele kick before Alfred Perez grounded him with a roundhouse kick. Chaos had already taken place in the ring. Jeff managed to get back up on his feet after Alfred took him down with a dropkick. AJ quickly rolled over and grabbed Alfred by the ankle, tripping him and causing him to land flat on his face. AJ got back up to his feet and bounced off the ropes. He went for a flip senton, but Michael quickly got in the way and lifted him up in mid-flip for a powerbomb. Michael Cole turned around to see Alfred charging towards him for a clothesline, but Michael quickly dodged out of the way, sending Alfred tripping over the top rope and eliminating the first opponent.
As Trent and Hardy continued to brawl, Austin Cross took out AJ with a huge combo of FUCK YOU BITCH. As Austin attempted a moonsault on Styles, Jeff Hardy lifted Trent up in a vertical suplex position, and dropped him gut-first onto the top rope. Trent fell over the rope, but managed to keep his balance and land on his feet on the ring apron. Austin hit the moonsault, and Jeff Hardy attempted to push Barreta out of the ring. Michael noticed this, and rushed over to help. Trent held on with all his strength, and managed to nail Hardy with a huge right hand that stunned him long enough to allow Barreta to springboard off the top rope and catch Cole in a hurricanrana position before taking him down over the top rope.
Trent re-entered the ring after eliminating yet another opponent, but Jeff Hardy took him back to the ground with a mule kick. By this point, AJ and Austin were both back on their feet, battling it out with an exchange of punches and kicks. Austin managed to take the upper hand on Styles after a buzzsaw kick. He attempted to hip toss AJ over the top rope, but AJ grabbed a hold of the ropes and got on the apron. Before AJ managed to re-enter the ring, Austin sent him crashing to the floor outside with a dropkick, leaving only three competitors left: him, Jeff Hardy, and Trent Barreta.
They all realized this, and formed a circle in the middle of the ring, staring eachother down. After a moment, they all gathered in the center again, reenacting the chaos that took place at the beginning of the match. Austin and Jeff teamed up, lifting Trent up into a suplex position. They backed up towards the ropes, then dropped him to the outside the ring, eliminating yet another opponent and leaving only two men now.
The final two remaining men stared eachother down, pacing the ring. They slowly advanced forward, locking up into a collar and elbow tie-up. Austin took the upper hand and transitioned into a headlock, but Hardy quickly pushed him away and locked in an arm wrench. Austin struggled, clutching his arm in pain as Jeff broke up the submission with a mule kick. He climbed up top now, preparing for something big... a Swanton Bomb! He hit it! Austin lay motionless as Jeff Hardy slowly began to lift him up. He irish whipped Austin into the ropes. Austin toppled over the top rope, but landed on his feet and lay groggy on the ring apron as Hardy ran up the turnbuckle. He quickly corkscrewed off the turnbuckle, and kicked Austin right in the head with a Whisper in the Wind! Though they both toppled out of the ring, Austin went out first; Hardy crashed onto the ring apron and got some hang time before finally falling to the ringside, so he was determined the winner.

Ding ding ding!
Here's your winner, and the new Light Heavyweight Champion... Jeff... Hardy!

For the longest time, both Jeff Hardy and Austin Cross lay outside the ring, motionless. As a few EHDW staff members came to Austin's aid to see if he was okay, the ref helped Hardy up to his feet and handed him the title. The crowd booed and yelled offensive terms as Hardy raised the title in the air, then glutched his gut in pain and leaned against the barricade for support.
